non-$32,461 exhaust setup for c63
Ok, so the available exhaust systems for our cars are LUDICROUSLY EXPENSIVE....I mean wth, its steel tubing and a little welding? as many of you have come to know I would rather do things for myself anyway I pieced this together and couldnt be happier....
About $150 total with awesome sound (got rid of that raspy screech above 4000rpm as well) and numbers look good as well, 389rwhp

Nope, looking at it right, no mufflers.....and no its not loud and obnoxious at all....it was FAR louder when I had the factory reso still in place, the x pipe REALLY mellows the sound out.....you can "kinda" hear it in my B.I.P. dyno video in my other thread

you might as well go all out and ditch those secondary cat's.

I had thought about ditching the 2nd cats but have shied away from the idea....I honestly cannot tell you how good it sounds as is.....I have heard straight piped exhaust on a cl63 with LTs and in all honesty it sounded like **** to me...you know, when you're having exhaust work done and the system is open and the man code REQUIRES you to fire it up and pour some throttle to it a time or six!!! Well, like that sound, only ALL THE TIME!! and as for emissions, im not sure but my dyno run from last Tuesday may have recorded it but not sure, I'll check when I go by tomorrow

***cant get youtube clip to hyperlink from my phone right now so could someone hyperlink it in the next post please***
You can see the dyno runs made last Tuesday at the thread link in the post at the top but power was 389/377...VERY strong
Sound, of course, is subjective but personally I think it sounds like liquid sex..
Here is the needed validation that was Required above....

I'll try and get a takeoff and some driveby clips later this afternoon guys

That actually sounds pretty good. I'd be interested to see it under load and on the overrun too. Nice work!

I'm working on getting some acceleration/drive-by/WOT clips.....my partner that was helping with the startup clip is now doing homework (got to love drafting your 9yo son to help out with the hobby!!)

Granted, it is a LOT deeper than factory but the cell phone mic really doesnt do it justice....couple of us are hopefully getting together around B.I.P. in Atlanta tomorrow afternoon so I'll ask them to post up their impressions(and I am NOT the guy that cant take honest feedback, even if it is negative)
