Paddle shifting
In my E class if I use the paddle shifters the car obviously switched gears. But after just a couple of minutes it goes back to full automatic.
If I am driving my amg in C, or S and wanted to downshift using my paddles approaching a light or just want to here that hotness, does/will the car automatically at any point go back to full auto? If not what do I have to do to get it there?
I was playing around with the modes last weekend and like a donkey in M took off hard a few times and I guess just not being used to it forget to switch gears fast enough. Feel like I abused my car a little :-/
Still love and want to use that downshifting feature though.

With mine when in C S or S+ I often downshift with the paddle.
To get back to 'auto' mode it's just a matter pulling the paddle and holding it for a second or so and it's back to auto shifting. This works if stationary or moving.

great thanks. Which paddle would you hold? Up shift or down shift?
