My BS For Sale

The Black Series is definitely worth it. No offense to anyone but not all "butt dynos" are created equally.
The only way to properly and thoroughly observe all the behavioral differences between a Black Series and a standard car is on the track. That said, even a spirited drive on the streets can flesh out the differences between the two.

Barry did drive the hell out of his car and at the track as well.
People saying a C63 BS is no different from a normal C63 do not understand the concept of the "Black Series" designation overall. It is like saying a CLK BS, SL65 BS, SLS BS ... are just normal AMG cars.

I very much agree. I never thought the difference would be so much from my 2013 p31 LSD car but it was night and day. BS is an animal. I finally got to drive one the other week and wish i never even sat in it.

Wow!! I only put 500 miles a month
What issues?
Wider rear axle + wider front axle + LSD + bigger tires + better weight distribution + lighter car + KW suspension + more robust internals (forged) make this car a different animal.

Meh, I've owned multiple C63s, and I've driven countless number of them. I've ran with stock PP cars, and the difference is negligible, even with more tire. Power wise, it's just a MB numbers rating game to differentiate the cars. A 2012 PP C63 makes the same power as a BS, as a 507 edition. I've proven this many times with 100-200k runs with tons of local cars.
If you're into straight line performance, there's no point in getting a BS. The differences is purely in handling and enjoyment throwing it around corners.

Barry had a lot of codes being thrown and MB Thornhill couldnt find the issues. I took it to a different dealer and we fixed the broken throttle pedal, clutch pack, differential cooling issues, coilover seals, ECU tune, Clogged oil/air separator lines.
It took a lot of time to diagnose the issues and fix them but the car is in a MUCH better condition than when I bought it.

This man speaks the truth. I was almost going to upgrade to a blackseries, but then I did my research and realized that aside from the wide body kit and the KW coilovers, it's essentially the exact same car as a PP 2012+. Same forged internals (I checked part numbers), same power (look at numerous dyno graphs). I had already upgraded my suspension to KW V3's, so at that point, paying almost a $50k premium for a wide body kit made no sense. I'm just not convinced the BS is worth the price anymore. So instead I got an OEM BS hood and called it good and bought a Gallardo instead.

As for being able to get wider rear tires, you don't even need a full body kit, just spend some dough on widening the rear arches correctly.
All in all, I concur with most other people here. Is it a nice car? Very. Is it worth the premium? Not in my book
That being said, GLWS it really is a great machine and nice list of upcoming vehicles to choose from.

people who say its not worth the money are haters....I know what you all are saying could be true but... why are you in this thread? wouldn't you be upset if you bought a c63 BS and trying to sell it n whole bunch of people come in and crap on it?
why does it cost more ? because bs .... do you want to own one ? if you do you gota pay to play.
btw yes ...its just a wide bodykit that fits perfect and color coded perfectly.

Seriously guys Ive owned both a highly tuned P31 (Identical to a 507 if you are going to say a 507 is 'essentially' the same as a BS) and the Black Series. The Black series does have performance advantages over the regular AMG coupe -yes they come with a price but it is comparable.
-KW clubsport suspension is ~5K installed
-Forged Wheels ~5K/Set
-Bigger Brakes ~1K premium over standard 2 piece
-Differential Cooler ~1K
-CF Accents (~6K from comparable aftermarket solution)
Thats ~20K over regular AMG and I didnt even price in Wide Body, AMG Performance Media, R Compound Tires, Bigger Rear Axle, Additional Forged Internals, Red Seat Belts :P

If someone wants to sell something in an opinion free thread, they can post it in the Classifieds section. Otherwise it's free game in my book.
