Any ideas on a "solid" installation technique? I want to be able to pull this "in the heat of battle" and not have it pop off. 3M tape won't cut it IMO.

You could use an epoxy bonding agent to permanently install it, but we think 3m tape does a more than sufficient job. On the test car we have pulled the paddles from both the top and bottom with the usual force a paddle shifter would be subject to and it held up fine. If you would like, you can PM us your email and we can send you some videos of it in action.
However, if you wish to install it using epoxy, you can specify that to us as well and we will include a set of the epoxy bonding agent.

Thank you. We decided to go with the stick on application because it will be much easier and safer to install, as well as allowing us to offer it at an attractive price. A full replacement would have be offer at a much higher price point as it would have to include a set of OEM paddles as well.

VFR customer service and communication was excellent. Carbon fiber quality is nice and looks good with my DCT CF steering wheel. The package-- which came with double sided tape:

Thank you for your kind words! Looking forward to see them installed
