Reporting back on my install of:
Front 245/35/19
Rear 265/30/19
They look great and the wider tires actually close the gap between the tire and body a bit more without lowering or increase aspect ratio.
I'm happy to report that the traction and breakage are improved over the OE contis. Initially the cornering felt quite soft, but they have somehow gotten better over time (or I'm getting used to it :P)
Either way, very impressed with overall handling (I think the contis felt a bit tighter on turns), low road noise, and being able to put down almost all the power in 2nd / 3rd without breakage (post warm up of course)
Very repeatable 0-62 times of 3.9 to 4.1 in almost any conditions - so can't really complain
(measured using AMG Performance Media option which is a GPS based vbox)

Which brand did you get?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is exactly the right topic, and y'all seem quite knowledgeable. Would you help me out?
I've found the back 265/30/zr19 MPSS's just fine, but I'm struggling searching for a new set of fronts on the 507 wheel.
I'm also thinking the 245/35/19 route, but I can't find the "right" set to buy them anywhere.
This is what I was thinking I wanted, but notice the rating: 245 /35 R19 93Y XL BSW
Which is then R rating, not ZR like every other MPSS i've seen.
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...=TSWINT&cs=245
After searching a bit more, I've found other places that also do sell an "R" rated 245 also, leading me to think there's actually such an animal.
So, dumb question, which 245/35/19 MPSS have y'all bought & from where?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe Discount Tire just entered the specs incorrectly online. I don't think any MPSS come in a R rating. They are all ZR on Tirerack.

Hey Mort,
Thanks for the help. I saw that, but google also found me these guys:
http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse....5466&pID=83702
Michelin Tires Pilot Super Sport 245/35R19 XL 93Y
They also have a 89Y ZR rated though.
http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse....5687&pID=59585
But michelin's site themselves doesn't seem to show anything that's just "R" rated.
http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tir...tail-sku-table
So all this was a bit of confusing for me...

If you want to buy from Discount Tire I would give them a call to question their online listings. I am sure they have just listed the specs incorrectly online.
