Big News regarding MBWorld Ontario
Open letter to friends, members and everyone associated with MBWorld Ontario.
Ok so we have teased you all over the past month about how awesome this year is going to be and that we have some big news to share with everyone. The time to share is now.
MBWorld Ontario was created by a group of friends as a local extension to a massive online forum MBWorld. We would post stories, pics, experiences etc on that forum but we quickly realized that there were a heck of a lot of local MB owners in Ontario. This realization fueled the desire for a local meet and really the rest is history. MBWorld Ontario has since eclipsed our original goals and with new events, new cars, new vendors, and most importantly new friends. We have quickly grown to be one of the largest if not the largest active Mercedes Benz focused group north of the border. We are dedicated to promoting the MB brand and to push our cars to the limit in terms of performance and aesthetics. Some of our members’ rides have become well known around the world and our MBWorld Ontario pictures are tagged / shared everywhere on the internet. We have grown exponentially and we look to continue this trend and trailblaze through uncharted territory!
Our vision was to always be the best resource for Mercedes Benzes north of the border and to continue to grow our membership through sharing experiences, connecting them with the right supplier and of course, amazing events where everyone has a ton of fun. The desire for increasingly amazing events has lead us to shift our strategy and be more ambitious. We wanted to host events that has hundreds if not thousands of fellow enthusiasts and create a movement of excitement with whatever we did. To this, we looked at other fellow car enthusiast groups outside our walls…. And we found one in BMW TrueNorth. BMW like MB is known for its quality, engineering and brand energy. The BMWTN group has also had a good history with running a lot of fun and exciting events. Lastly, we liked the TrueNorth component of their name because it meant Canada. This is home and we are proud of it; even on days when it hits crazy low temperatures and we spend 2 hours shovelling snow off our driveway.
After much deliberation and getting to know the group over at BMWTN, we are proud to begin the next chapter for our exciting club. We will be rebranding MBWorld Ontario to MB TrueNorth! Together, MBTN and BMWTN will host cross club events that would continuously push the envelope of what is achievable.
We’re extremely excited to showcase our new logo today. There was a lot of behind the scenes work to get to this point. I would like to thank the MB TrueNorth team for their energy and efforts, our sponsors for their support, and the group over at BMWTN for agreeing to be our sister organization (you guys can’t back out now!). Over the next couple of days, we will transition to the new name. We will also be launching a website (mbtn.ca) that will be a landing pad for all members as well as people that want to learn more about our club. The website will also host pictures and videos of all the events in the past and info for upcoming ones!
As a final word, we believe MB TrueNorth is positioned very well. We now have to ability to run our MB specific events and cruises as well as coming together under the TrueNorth brand to host some amazing events. Also, 2015 looks to be an exciting year for Mercedes Benz with the introduction of many new models to the market. We will work to aggressively increase the number of members and will continually work hard on ensuring we bring you up to date information on all things MB.

Too bad I live so far away. I'll be there in spirit.
Just spent 6 to 7 hours a storm on shoveling the walks and snow blowing the driveway for three big dumps in the last week. The Great White North...LOL
Jan 27-28 = 60cm of snow
Jan 31 = 38cm of snow
Feb 2-3 = 30cm of snow
Keep the momentum.
