Hey guys!

Turned off the traction control took a curve a bit to fast and slammed breaks... Bad idea.

Anyhow car jumped up the concrete. 2 side rims got some dings in them but either than that all is normal...

No weird sounds , no warning lights, no weird handling. All good.
Should I be worried ?

Thanks for any feedback.

Consider yourself lucky you don't drive an M4. You would be tarred and feathered by now.

Beautiful car. Love the color.

Should be fine. Only thing that may be damaged is your pride.

Unlike the M4 owner at least he just owns up to it. Said he made a mistake, not having a million years of adavanced driving school and that there were a few dew drops on the road and his tires were 0.07 psi too low.

Gorgeous car though.

Great looking rig for sure!
As for feedback, maybe take advice from James May after he put theCTS-V in the weeds, and leave "traction control, ON" lol, at least until you've had some practice in a safer location..

Are those your skid marks? In any case, if you hit a concrete curb essentially broadside and bounced over it then it's a no-brainer to get an alignment check.

Plus a few performance driving lessons would prevent that sort of thing from happening again

Hope your car is okay and there isn't any suspension damage.

just to be sure, i would:

(1) check that the rims are not bent
(2) check to see that suspension pieces aren't bent
(3) check to see that suspension pieces aren't loose
(4) check alignment

nice car, btw. and traction control is your friend.

I did! took the AMG Academy... but i guess i didn't learn to well not to panic and slammed on the breaks which completely locked the car up and sent me spiraling

So far looks like just minor scrapes on the wheels... nothing cant be fixed.

yep get that alignment checked for sure. Im almost positive you bent the front and rear knuckles. I cant tell from the picture but these car dont survive hits like that unhurt. Ideally you'd want the wheels to get damaged. People complain about how easily benz wheels bend. Bent wheels are much cheaper and easier to repair than suspension and structural parts.

Sucks that it happened but could've been way worse so i'd say you got off easy.

Forgot to mention I had to get it towed out of the curve (Was stuck as the RWD wasnt much help in this case...

Here are some more shots along with the damage to the rims...
Hopefully just simple fix and dont need to order new rims

r/f wheel has fishy looking extra negative camber from that last full picture. Let us know how the alignment check goes.

Could be just the way the ground is pushing the wheel up, though.

You need to have this car looked at.

It needs to have the suspension and alignment checked.

It needs to be put on a lift and given a thorough examination. If the wheels are the only casualties, consider yourself a very, very lucky man.

Good luck.

Also, when you get to the point where you can ride out oversteer as easily as you can shampoo your hair, you can turn off the traction control fully.

Until then, best keep it on or in "Sport." Even the professional hot shoes keep traction control on (at least partially) on the road. There are too many variables. There are folks on here that like to brag about always having it off but what if a kid runs out into the street? Or an animal? You want every advantage possible in those situations; traction control happens to be one of them.

Totally agree.!
Drove it for about an hour after didn't notice anything but will be having all of that looked at for sure.

Will be keeping it on sport for a while lol.

Yeah i took a look at both front sides once i got it all back on the ground made sure nothing looked amiss... wasn't able to tell anything was off... but still going to have it fully checked just to be sure.

I'm glad you're safe, and no one else was involved. That was a close one. I hope your car is fine as well (Most likely it is as Mercedes literally rapes their cars prior to start of production).

A listen learned I hope, don't turn off the traction control in public roads.

Hate to see this, but it looks like the forged wheels held up pretty well. If they survived this "test" I'm sure they survive a pothole a bit better than the regular wheels do.

Good luck with the follow up.

could be a lot worse than this, you're lucky it was a fairly low curb.
when i first got mine i had quite the fish tail going around a corner, and that was TC in sport mode and me being an idiot

like others said, i'd expect some sort of suspension damage that won't be seen till it's on a lift. hard way to learn about your car but it could be a lot worse

Like others have said, get it to an alignment shop. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the suspension components was bent. You may not feel it while driving, but may see tires getting eaten unevenly and fast over time.

Thankfully no one was hurt.
What I don't understand is how you were not able to get out of the curb?
Doesn't look that high plus your rear wheels seem to touch the ground. Were the rocker panels damaged?
