Brake Caliper Touch Up
I had rear tires installed this morning, again... I noticed that the red caliper has a clear coat and mine is flaking off.
Any suggestions for a clear coat to do a touch up?
Thanks....

Most brake calipers (and certainly the P31 reds on the C63) are not clear-coated from the factroy because the clear coat will burn off and turn brown or flake off. The only proper way to do them is with high-temp paint like Foliatec. Sorry - I know this doesn't help, but in general you can't really just touch up clear coat and expect it to look decent.

Thanks, Mine is a P31, the brake calipers are OEM red. Maybe I didn't look closely enough. But what I saw was a clear flaking, the red underneath was flat. When it warms up I'll pull of the wheels and look again.

You can also just try touching it up with high temp red caliper paint.
