Has anyone tried Bridgestone potenza s-04

I'm currently using the continental 5p which is good but wanted to try something different.

Was wondering if anyone has tried these. Would love to experiment but don't want to take a hit on performance either

Thanks

I have used 2 sets. They are great tires, especially for the money. They are grippier and feel more responsive than the 5Ps. They do hum a very tiny amount over 25 mph, but nothing really noticeable, especially if you have the stereo on. I feel like the 5Ps were not very confidence inspiring, but the SO4s make the car feel like I can push much closer to the limit and know what's going on under me. They are a great tire. That being said, PSS in the same size is $100 more per set, so I am switching to those next month. I use 265/35 and 235/40 in 18 inch.

s04

i have been running bridgstone so series for a very longtime . on my 507 not yet , but on my little m3 they are the only tires i use , the S04 is a compromise between a pure rain tire and a dry tire , what i love best is their predictability , you will know you are at the limit and they will not break loose suddenly .the older ones where fantastic in the rain , with the new genration they are walking the line rain/dry . its not a pure tire.....they are soft compoud so be advised if you run a lot of camber ....you will eat tires at an alarming rate. i have 8500 kilos on my merc and rear contis are shot . i believe S04 will not last as much as contis . if you want an all around tire with great grip very good rain performance and dont care about mileage they are the ones . if you are looking for ultimate grip look somewhere else .

My SO4s lasted longer than my 5Ps. 10,200 mi vs 8-9,000.
