Looking to buy 12'-14' C63 - Feedback needed
What are the major changes between the years, besides the 507 edition?
I have been eyeing a C63 for quite a while. Just waiting for the right time, I cannot justify buying a brand new one as these cars depreciate significantly.
Anyone have any issues with these cars? I have found a 2012, but the fact that only 1 year of warranty remaining has me a little deterred. The extended warranty offered is quite the rip off IMO.
Any feedback is appreciated, I am specifically looking for the sedan version.

Between 2012-14 there aren't changes. The big change came from 2011 to 2012 which you'll hear as PFL (pre-facelift) and FL (facelift).
Warranty definitely is nice to have, but the 2012+ come with new headbolts which resolved the largest issue with the engine.
C63's are very resilient and reliable. Obviously a handful of the bunch have had gremlins here and there, however, I owned an 09 with absolutely 0 issues. Just had to put oil in it. My 2013, same story. Love these things.

Things can be expensive, such as brakes/rotors and the oil changes aren't the cheapest either because you use a lot of oil. Throw in a set of tires that the car frequently eats through and things start to add up. However, these are normal wear and tear items that generally will not be covered anyway.
The warranty is good for tranny (which 2012+ has a good tranny) and motor (which 2012+ has good headbolts) so I honestly wouldn't be too concerned. Is it nice to have? Yes.
