Electric cutoffs for our stock exhaust?
Hey guys, so Ive been hearing about people doing electric cutoffs for our stock exhaust to bypass the muffler, I dont know too much about it.. Can anyone enlighten me on how it's done? Is it a valve-controlled system or something else? Thanks again

Look up IPE c63 you will see what they have. That is the best but very pricey option.
You can also get a stainless Y fitting electric cutout which can be opened to bypass. Lots of options on those. Look on ebay.

I was contemplating this and even made a thread but got comments like this isn't a crap or rubbish car so don't do that. I guess I dropped the idea after that. Getting a straight pipe and removing secondary cats now and everyone seems to think that's a better idea...

Yea well now that I think about it, maybe sounds a little cheap for our cars.. Btw, I do have secondary cat delete H-pipe and res delete straight pipe.. Unfortunately, it's not loud enough already.. Dont really want to do headers yet.. Might consider a tune..?

I thought I saw a review of the AMG GT om Top Gear that it had a some sort of cut-out system.

The AMG GT has 3 valves designed in ex works to try to find a solution for both application cases - quiet/discrete and sporty, when you want. One works a bit like an X-Pipe, the other two open internal bypasses around the mufflers. A lot of testing and development went into this to make it sound just right.
The stock mufflers are not restrictive on the C63. If you bypass them you will gain no power.
