WHEEL OFFSETS and SIZES???
I am now on the lookout for wheels and tires for my '13 C63, and have a few ????. First I want to go to 19" wheels. I am looking at MRR, Niche, Forgestar, and others. However I don't know what the offsets are, so was hoping someone here had that info.
I am also looking at tires as well. Looking to go from the 235/40-18 fronts to 235/35-19. Rears from 255/35-18 to 255/30-19. I saw the 2015 C63 has 245/35-19 front and 265/25-19 on the rear. Would the 265/25-19 fit on the rear of the 2013, or is it just too wide? I hate having smaller tires on such a beast, and they really aren't as meaty as I would like. I don't want them outrageous, but at least a 265 series would be nice to have.
ANy thoughts. I was reading in a couple of recent mags that the 2015 C63 had the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, and the tester thought they were really loud. I have owned Michelin Pilot Sports and they weren't loud, and my buddy who owns an M5 loves them. Of course he owns the tire shop and he is a hard core BMW and Michelin fan. This car came with Continentals installed, but I do like the Michelins. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
So it's really down to the wheels and what the offset is, and then I can go with the tires. I am particular in that I don't want the wheels sticking past the inner lip of the wheel arch. Just looks cleaner to me.
Thanks to all and any input on wheels is also welcome. I'm not going to spend a ton of money on the wheels, meaning thousands because in all honesty-I ain't got it. I want quality with reliability. Let's start with that first.
Cheers,
Howie

You can go 10" on the rear with a 50/52 offset and fit 275/30/19.
Michelin Pilot Super Sports would be easily the most regularly recommended tyre in the C63 forum and is my preferred option.
Tire size will depends on wheel offset. But for sure our cars needs 35f & 30r profile tires in 19's.. Dunno where u saw 265/25/19 on a C63? Maybe 265/25/20?
Well try maximizing the tire size by choosing the right offset.
For example:
Front: 19x8.5 or 19x9 from +40 to +45 is recommended with 245/35/19 no problem
Rear: 19x9.5 or 19x10 from +48 to +55 is fine for 255/265/275 .. xxx/30/19.
Good luck in ur search.
I also had similar offset question as was planning to upgrade to vff103 19" from my stock rims and I went through the forum but found all kind of offsets and tyre sizes used by various members.
Vorsteiner gives following standard offset.
Front – 19” X 8.5” standard with a 45 offset
Rear – 19” X 9.5” standard with a 46 offset
U think they would give a flush look to the fenders or I would have to add spacers ?
I am also looking to drop it with the H&R springs !
Cheers

Keep in mind 5mm spacers don't come hubcentric, so u might have vibration. I would do 10mm hubcentric (making it +35) & run narrower tires like 225/35 or 235/35.
As for the rear, 19x9.5 +46 will be as flush as u can get. I would recommend 265/30/19 tires though if u plan on lowering. 275/30 will definetly rub. Well at least I was rubbing lol
Yes it's flush

Zero spacers, no lowering, just chucked them on and drove off.
Also,I am based in india and it's very hard to get 265/30/19 profile Tyres and instead we get 265/35 and 275/30/19 as u said 275 lowered would definitely rub!
What do u reckon I should do?
Thanks !!

Rolling fenders is also an option to avoid rubbing.
I had a set of 295's on in the summer to try for about a month and didn't have to many issues there either it's just a pain finding that tire size
if i were to re-do it again i'd probably just go with a nice set of 19's and a bit thicker of tire so tread life was a bit longer

So u recommend a +35 front with 235/35 and 10mm spacers +50 up for rear with 275/30 without lowering for flushed look and no rubbing !
Cheers
Funny part is now I run wider wheel (19x10 +50) with 275 PSS & no rubbing. Must be the stretch of the 275 on x10 vs x9.5!
20's looks amazing on our cars but I agree on running 25 series tires is a pain. Plus 20's tire selection are limited & expensive.
Well keep the offset in front from +35 (with stretched tires) to +45 , the ideal offset is +40 for nice flushness and wide tires combo.
Some great looking wheels some of you have. I'm on the fence with a couple of wheels, and will post once it's all done. Thanks for all of the assists.

Do you have any other images of your car with the Forgestars? I am looking at those pretty closely, but would like to see a different angle. Looks sharp.
First I don't believe in using spacers so not an option for me. I am looking at 235 tires on front, and maybe 245 if they will fit. No more than 265 on the rears. I just want an offset that keeps the wheels within the wheel arch and not go past the lip. Do you know offhand what the stock offsets are on the 2013 C63 18" wheels?
Cheers

And with those sizes you don't have any rubbing issues at all? I would have thought with a 10 inch wide wheel and 275 tires there would be some rubbing. You haven't lowered the car either? They look about as good as a set can get from my point of view. I saw a really nice Red coupe with HRW's on it that just rocked. I think this might be the way to go, although I am not sure about the 10" wides on the back. I don't want to use spacers-did you use them?
Cheers,
Howie
P.S. Where did you get the wheels? What did you pay for the set?
