It's pretty nice. I retained the stock rez and mufflers which lets me drive nice and quiet around town/highways with no cabin drone, etc. Moment I give er' or I'm in M mode, the musical notes start to come out of the quads. At this point, I would never change my exhaust from the way it is now. Just don't full throttle around elders; they tend to cover up both ears……..

Hello all, soo I finally got the chance to do the dyno on my C63 507 Coupe. It had about 17 000 KM on it time of dyno fyi. The car has American Racing longtube Headers (AKA Modern Horsepower), catless, with stock res and mufflers. Has weistec air filters with charcoal delete and carbon intake from JL Motoring.
That being said, the car dyno'd at 443.2 hp RWHP being the highest, done at Eurocharged in Toronto. It was a slightly cool day.
Thoughts/ideas to why those numbers? I'm sure I've seen a post or 2 about the 507 with the V5 tune making just about those numbers....

Dyno's are not actually comparable. They do vary, and the correction factor does not accurately equal the readings between machines. A car that reads 443rwhp on one machine might read 475rwhp on another - many variables. Real power is what speed you can pick up over a distance - eg. trap speed on the 1/4 mile
The main thing is what you gained. Did you run a baseline run so you can see the improvement? Headers and cat delete should get you 20-25rwhp and a tune another 25-30rwhp.
That'd put your 507 pretty low for a baseline number (under 400rwhp). Most will make more than that stock.

Unfortunately this was the first time doing the dyno. I used the AMG performance media with launch control, it read 12.2 on the screen at 197 KM/H. I can't remember my old numbers when playing with it before the tunes. The day i picked up the car after the install, I did feel more power and all. I guess buddy with a 2011 C63 with MBH headers and tune ran 469-ish.

By 200kph I'm down to 12. Am at 12.2 at 180kph where it makes 485rwhp and holds that through to over 200kph, dipping below 12 from around 205kph.
So your fuel is about spot on. What octane? There may be more timing in it, but that is fuel dependant

I have never seen a tune only C63 even on race gas put down 460rwhp unless the dyno was very optimistic and you were dynoing in 0F air.
Ported heads will gain you 8-12rwhp, this has been proven, with 70% or more of the gains coming from the valvejob. The factory heads are that good.
There are plenty of bolt-on C63s rocking 500rwhp without going into the motor. No offense but i find your posts to be quite misleading as to what's actually been proven to work vs your theories.

You guys bring hollywood into everything even car tuning and dyno readings lol.
Bazman is close to real figures.

Whatever mine would read on a US dyno, I must run mine down the strip. I know it pulls in my buddies Gallardo 560, it pulls on stock GTR's, hell even a 660hp GTR wasn't getting away from me, but closed roads come down to ***** a bit. A fairer comparison is against the latest 4L GT3 driven by a race driver - we were neck and neck out of tight turns through to 160kph when we had to back off - consistently. These C63's haul *** when modded right

Yeah they do. They might not be the fastest but they give everything a good run. 430-450whp in a c63 is like 500hp + in other V8's. Remember weight plays a huge factor. These are tiny cars with a monster engine.
My brother is currently seeing 430whp and his car eats anything on the street. The torque is monstrous. Makes me miss my C63.

I bought something 20x more expensive but 20x less fun lol.
I want to check out the new C63S aswell. Let me know how it goes. At 180 inclusive of options it's dirt cheap!
If the new M3 had an 8 under the bonnet i would've bought it. Looks so good.
But i'm looking around for another little toy, i'm just bored with the cars i have atm.

June 18 is "before" dyno run and beginning of install, and Friday the 19th is the "after" party lol…
Nice run home up the Coquihalla (3 and 4 lane open highway) to get used to it.
Hopefully all goes well !

Looking forward to hearing about your thoughts and dyno results for your headers.

Actually I'd prefer to sell them and not even install them lol.
Car is fast enough, I'd rather put a big f off sized motor in my bike

Sounds so nice with the stock system, can't believe it opens up that much by just changing the headers!!

Secondary cats are removed and replaced with the xpipe and bolts onto the factory resonator. It has a slightly deeper rumble than stock at idle, but it opens up and roars above 3500rpm.

Curious to know what it sounds like.. Is it the MHP xpipe which is installed?
