Help using MyGenius tool on Windows 8 PC
Anyone have a solution to enable using the MyGenius tool on a Windows 8 computer? It seems to be a driver unavailability issue. I went to the Dimsport site and ran the driver pack download, but that didn't seem to do anything to help.
Seems like a shame that these tools will become obsolete as more and more computers have Windows 8.

I just flashed my car using Mygenius client on Windows 8.1 with no issues. I didn't have to do anything special to Windows 8.1 for it to work.
1. Unplug the MyGenius from the PC
2. Update the MyGenius software 3 times
3. Plug in the MyGenius and update the genius device…ignoring the errors.
4. Close the software
5. Open the software
6. Click on update – Import ABL from the TOP text menu.
7. Import the attached abl file
8. Run the mandatory update

I had to update the driver, then install it through windows. Plug everything in, go to Device Manager, scroll down until you see the MyGenius (will probably show a fault), right-click and go to properties, go to driver, update driver, let it search for you.
