Removing PPF Over 507 AMG Stripes
Hey guys,
Has anyone had the pleasure of removing PPF that was installed over the Acceleration Stripes on a 507? If so, did the stripes come up with the PPF?

PPF as in paint protection film ?
I didn't know that was over the stripe from the OEM.
If so I would think it should come off with a little heat from a hair drier or heat gun.

Yea, Paint Protection Film; Suntek PPF. Sorry for not being more specific. I had the dealer cover the full front of my 507 (full hood, full fenders - which covers a potion of the striped area, and full bumper). I was just wondering what would happen if I removed the film later on down the road. Would the stripe come up with the film too?

It's not painted over. There is none. I peeled mine right off, no fuss. No residue. Granted I took them off when I accepted delivery, but they peeled off just like stickers.

The OP is asking if removing PPF that is over then OEM decal will lift the decal. I don't think he wants to remove the OEM decal.
