Exporting C63 to a "mb dealerless" country, pls advise
Hey Guys,
I'm in the market for a C63 with less than 40k miles.
Planning on exporting the car to where i live. (Suriname, South America)
I have found a few options within my budget (which is restrained because i still have to consider the 87% import-fees i'll be having to pay).
First used MB i'll be purchasing. Purchased a new '12 ML350 in 3 years ago.
There is no MB dealership locally (one that claims to be but their lack of knowledge on basic maintenance with the ML proved they weren't).
I've read up on most of the issues had with the M156 engine. Mainly the head bolt issue. Unfortunately by budget (~33-37k) won't allow for a "newer" C63.
I wanted to know if it would be possible to do preventive maintenance on this and any other issues before exporting the car. Also any other maintenance i could do pre-maturely just to have peace of mind the first few years of ownership here.
What issues/maintenance would you address before exporting the car?
Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks
