Weistec tranny shift problems
It did it once at the track a long time ago and I think since I did the service, it has been 99% worse, happening almost every 3-4 shift in m mode only.
This is the first time it ever did it last summer at the track. You can hear it at the end of the run when I hit it into 4th, it cuts out then goes again.

not everybody cares about having the fastest car in the world, and as we all know, stock cars tend to be the most reliable.
not a useful post by that guy, but a smart one.
OP, send this data to the bloody company that built the tranny. They should be providing you with tons of after-the-sale support given how much you've spent with them over the years.

Call weistec, post their thoughts later

it could be a electronics problem as someone said above
I think the best thing is to speak to Steve and ask his opinion

I'm doing this soon, I would have done it when I did the adaption tests but the tranny fluid was way too hot to check the level properly and I didn't have time. This is on the list and I hope it's something simple like this.
For sure mate its hard for us sending stuff across country and also costly
HOpe you sort it out asap
on a side note...
I was trying to change some programming in my front sam which required me to do a software update to the front sam and central gateway. This further caused some wierd communication protocol faults with the m.e. I ended up having to re-scn code my m.e. and it totally screwed up my car. Tune wise it ran ok but had no throttle response, no downshift blips, pounded the gears (that part i liked). i had to send it back for steve to undo what i screwed up, he wasnt even exactly sure what got changed that made it act all wierd. It took 2 tries back and fourth to get it right but It's back to it's savagery as normal.
Any chance you have xentry w/ engineering/workshop mode and you've been playing with some scn coding or settings. Theres so much encrypting and back door tuning wizardry on these ecu's just the slightest change can make it all go to ****.

It does seem like a electronic/tune issue to me, whether it's ME or TCU I am not sure...
I will check fluid soon.
I agree it does feel like it limiting torque then shifting. I can hear it bleeding boost as it closes the throttles between the shift.
Funny the guy from here has a tune and header car and his shifting into 4th gear only is screwed up too. Must be something with 4th gear with these trans.
Mbh headers w eurocharged v5.
At part throttle and driving like a citizen tranny shifts clumsily into 4th. If i stab the throttle once im cruising, its horrible. Does an over rev and shifts from 3-4.
Full throttle from a stop it shifts fine at redline.
Please keep me posted on weistec's findings.
Im thinking of having the tranny looked at locally by eurocharged canada as i believe they can get weistec parts.
I was seriously looking at the Weistec 722.9 modified valve body. that's most likely as far as I would take it myself.
That is unless a 11" torque converter that isn't crazy money becomes available.
Shardul mentioned last year that there might be something available by this time but sadly, not.
