Lose-Lose for them.
OP -- Keep us updated as to whether or not you ever get your refund. I have a feeling though that if it hits sometime this week that it was because JB saw this thread and took care of it.

Exactly, this is just an advertising opportunity for some of the venders. You can tell which ones are actively reading and monitoring what is going on.
The proof is when you PM for a price and its the same as the website, while the others seem to do special discount for the MBW members or will offer price grouping.

It actually didn't work out. After I ordered and paid, I got an email from the vender stating that the mirror covers were back ordered and he would not be able to get them for possibly another week. So the word that stuck in my head was possibly, so I decided to get the money back and look else where.
The part about this that was kind of bugging me a bit was the fact I contacted them after a thread bump. The 1 day back and forth for pricing and then payment, after this was completed the next day is when I got the email. I asked why they are bumping a thread if they don't have stock and the reply was he had 1 and someone else got it. OK fair enough but the thread was bumped again and nothing mentioned about a back order situation, which leads me to believe that this is a normal business practice for them.

My mirror covers look great, but the surface is not smooth. When you run your hand over them they are bumpy, like the CF weave can be felt through the clearcoat. Feels nothing like the CF found elsewhere on the car. Has anyone else noticed this?

Are they new and clean? Takes some serious talent to make a clearcoat spray unsmooth to the touch. Lame

I mean, they're not new anymore. I put them on over the winter, and noticed it right away but didn't really think anything of it. They look good, the finish is just not smooth like the other carbon fiber I have. It didn't hit me until I gave my car a good clay/polish/sealant/wax the other day.
