JB SPEED is giving me a hard time
I have never had to do this in my life but I am really disappointed in this guys customer service, perhaps I was the fool for purchasing from him, anyways I purchased a pre facelift diffuser in carbon from him, claimed direct fit " it's the replacement not the add on", I received the diffuser happy to fit it, I could not get it to fit, I contacted JB speed and he said take it to a body shop, I visited 3 shops who told me around 400 to fit that diffuser due to poor quality, the last body shop pointed out that there was a missing tab as well as hairline cracks on 3 separate tabs when pressure if applied. I contacted him asking for a return label and a refund, he first offers 100 dollars to get it fitted, followed by 250 and then tells me to sell it to someone on here or eBay. He then left me no choice but to open a paypal claim, they were happy to help however they will only cover what I paid and not the ridiculous shipping back to China or Taiwan or whatever, JB speeds website says that they will cover return shipping due to defective items, why is this guy refusing to help me, why is it fair for me to have to take a loss... I just want a return label and my money back, I am posting this here so you guys are aware.

JB is all over here... Bottom line is that they sell pretty much the cheapest CF offered by a vendor here... and you get the cheapest quality.
Want CF? I recommend Mode Carbon

By the time you go through the hassle of getting overseas CF, visiting shops, wasting time, spending money to ship back etc you've basically spent the time/money on a Mode piece. They'll all fit right and if you get a bad Mode piece their customer service will take care of you most definitely.

I have a jb speed lip I bought off a forum member that was never used, it was about as good of quality as I would expect but it's a lip so fitament isn't as much of an issue as a diffuser
On the flip side the shop I used told me 75$ cash and they'd install anything I got

I agree with you all, I didn't know any better, i trusted the fact that he was a forum vendor, I would be atleast 800 deep to make this thing fit and I would rather spend it on a mode diffuser or something better, the fact that I tried to fit it and the guy said " take it to a body shop these are not things that you can do yourself" That really pissed me off because do not tell me what I can and cannot do and furthermore you advertised direct fit, you preach quality and fitment, your website says you cover return shipping, come on man. Nothing changes the fact that it does not fit, that right there is false advertisement, then theres the issue of the missing tab and cracked tabs.

Live and learn my friend.
JB will definitely see this thread with how active they are bumping threads so hopefully the issue gets solved.

WOWWW, ,he offered you the same 250 BS and then straight up said hold on to it until i find someone else to buy it and ship it to them....Unbelievable, unfortunately I had money in my paypal account, I chose to pay with my amex card but it still took it from my PP balance, if the damn transaction came off my amex I wouldn't even be sweating, they would handle everything for me, paypal on the other hand is like yeah cool we will give you back your money but you have to ship it back to him and cover the costs, funny, shipping that big box to taiwan i don't think so.

too be fair, you do have to take the bumper off if you want it to fit properly...I'm willing to bet money that if you just "slapped it on" and tightended up the bolts..theres a gap some where that you just have noticed yet.
Mine is mode carbon and it fit all wonky when a body shop just put it on, then they took the bumper off and now it looks like it fits as a OEM one

If there is this underlying BS with a vender on this forum why are they allowed to advertise their wares here?

The best website to buy oversea parts is cnautofan imo.
They give you a slightly better price when you buy multiple things and are slightly negotiable if you pay through PP.
There are some good reviews from a couple people on here, and I also purchased a few things.
I had good experience with RWcarbon, and my favorite vendor which is not a vendor on here, but offers a better price than any other, Circuitmotorsports.
Like many said, JBspeed is one of the worse vendors.

Yeah I'm over it I just want my money back and he needs to send a label for his product, I ended up buying a oem FL bumper and oem diffuser to not deal with this kinda crap, FL bumper seems to have more carbon diffusers from reputable people.

i had to pretty much cut off and modify all the tabs on my mode carbon diffuser to get it to fit correctly. the wing i just finally had to remove couldn't stand the wavy-ness in the carbon and the corners fit terrible. after market parts are just that after market.
