Hey guys,

Just curious how often you do oil changes?

And, since I'm under warranty, is it suggested to go to the dealership?

Lastly, will COMAND tell me when to change oil?

if you liked paying extra for a simple oil change, go ahead. but it's a fairly easy diy.

I do oil changes once a year but I only drive 5000-6000 km per year. I change the oil and filter and do the inspections and other services required myself. The service system in the car will display a warning before the service is due and tell what service is due as well. Get the dealer to do it if you are concerned about warranty as they will be much more agreeable to deal with if you are otherwise a good customer.

Command will ask you to do it every 8000 miles or so. Since I track my car, I change my oil every 4000. Easy to do and cheap.

If you keep the oil invoices you will be fine from a warranty perspective.

I also do other things like brake fluid flush, or cabin filter change myself.
