I made the switch to an f80. The updated technology and turbo/manual gearbox is an amazing combo. You should check out the current lease deals, incredible bang for the buck

^although I do admit, I do stil miss the sexy m156 exhaust note

This and that.
I would love to make the move to a GTR or 911 however this time in my life with my wedding around the corner and several other commitments, it would be very unwise for me to spend that much on a vehicle. Just felt really bored of the C63 as my ADD kicked in after 2 years and having ALWAYS loved the M3 and finding a pristine unit with a rare colour such as this, I couldn't resist. One day though I will move on to something better like 911 or GTR or maybe something else by then, let's see.

I will post pics when I get a chance, I don't pick it up for another couple of days.

I have driven a p31 C63, and a 2010 M3 Sedan 6MT.

I love AMG, but I thought the C63 rode quite harsh, and I expected more power. I am going to chock that experience up to that particular car as being a dud.

The M3 Sedan on the other hand, amazing car. It did have some modifications, intake, exhaust, suspension work, and most likely a tune. This particular M3 felt a tier above the C63 in terms of power.

If I based my next purchase of just those two cars, I would hands down bought the M3. The power, response, and ride were all fantastic. 6MT was also a huge plus.

However, before I make my decision, I want to drive another C63.

cant compare the modded m3 to a stock c63, the c63 hands down has more on-demand power especially if you tune it. add upgraded suspension, exhaust and a tune to a c63 and then see if you still agree.

IMO they really are two completely different types of cars, the m3 is a better handling machine but the c63 is brute force

OP, are you not concerned about the rod bearings?

there's been more documented head bolt issues with amg than rod bearing problems in the s65.

How much more? I have not seen anything officially published by either side.

AMG at least fixed the issue in 2011. Nothing has been done for the E9X

I'm not too sure about that switch but do whatever you feel is best for your driving pleasure and wallet. At the end of the day it is your money
I would stick with AMG ...
