Camber issues
My car is lowered on H&R Springs and i'm running continental dws tires 245/265 and i'm getting a lot of negative camber on the rear tires and a lot of pulling to the right even after alignment. Anyone else have issues with negative camber?

Does it feel like its steering with the rear? might be subframe loosened up.

If i let go of the steering wheel, it will pull right pretty hard. I know on my c300 it did that and the subframe was damaged. When i switch lanes, i feel like the rear tires bounce me back into the other lane

50k! I never had the issue before on stock tires. Now i went from 235/255 to 245/265 on stock rims and it feels weird. I had the alignment done at a good shop in queens called intrack tires.

There is no adjustment, front or rear, except for toe on this car. You will need rear K-Mac bushings or aftermarket camber arms if you want to adjust for the rear camber. The pull to the right will need to adjusted at the front with MB adjustment bolts or K-Mac camber and caster bushings. K-Mac also has top strut camber plates that can be used to adjust for front camber and/or caster. The new tires are accenting the problem and it will lesson, like the stock tires, once they wear down the inner edges.

Has it ever been wrecked or curbed real hard?

I know this sounds like an insane question but is the staggered setup installed correctly?
Many years ago, Discount Tire once put one of my wider rear tires up front (leaving one of the skinnier fronts out back). I noticed it immediately, so I have no idea how the car would've behaved with the incorrect installation. |

Its funny you say that because thats all I kept thinking about. I will have to look at the rims when I get a chance tomorrow morning. I hope thats not the issue here but anything is possible these days!
Regardless, good luck and let us know what you're able to find out! |
post up your alignment specs. ill tell you what i think. on a side note the dws tires cause alot of noise and vibration issues with a nice side of tire pulling. Not saying they are to blame but i definitely dislike those tires in general. when they did your alignment did they put any bolt kits in it? camber alone isnt really a tire killer. naturally it will wear tires more on the insides but by that time the middle and outside should be at the wear bars. Toe is the real killer.

I'm going to go for a re-alignment tomorrow and i'll post the specs up. I just checked the rims and they're fine. I was driving and it was pulling to the right a lot, i yanked the steering to the left and it felt like it didnt want to go to the left. I'll have them take a look again maybe they missed something. |
most benz tech's have no idea how to interpret and adjust the car properly. in the front ideally you want the front cambers as close to even as possible. right side more negative if anything, and around 40 minutes of caster higher on the right than the left. Toe front and rear need to be at stock specs (although some say the rear toe is too high in stock specs when driving on snow and ice). I live in texas so i cant vouch for that, but i can say stock specs provide great tire wear and proper handling. Toe doesnt affect pulling just where the steering wheel centers (front toe) and dog walk (rear toe)
