Yellowing of pipe in front of engine?

Yellowing of pipe in front of engine?
Anyone know why the J curved pipe the is right in front of the engine partially covered by the silver engine cover that says AMG on it is "stained" yellowish in my car?
Ive seen 1-2 other C63 with that pipe yellowed too but then also have seen a couple where its still brand new looking.

Nobody? What is that pipe even for? Maybe it will give me insight on the yellowish staining it has to it? Maybe I can replace myself.
