When to replace brake pads, before or after sensor?...and costs for oem vs aftmk.
Should I wait for the brake pad sensor to go off?
Will I cause damage to my rotors if I wait for the sensor to trip?
When the sensor does go off, approx how much wear do i have left?
5,000km ago I was told I had 20% left on my fronts and 40% left on my rears....so far no sensor signs have shown up
I was also told by the dealership that replacing only the front brake pads would cost around $700 (Canadian). Does that sound about right? Are there cheaper aftermarket alternatives that still have good performance?
I have the stock red brakes...
