hows the quality on the x5m? I've got to admit the 2010-13 x5M is looking quite good for what it offers for the price plus the dinan mods. Right now it seems there just isnt a huge supply of lower mileage 2012+ ml63's in my vicinity for under 70k but several months ago there were plenty. The market really seems to slow down this time of year.
the quality is great ... I really like it more and more.. my 2010 x5m is loaded and a ton cheaper than a 2012 + ML63.. the 2011s and older ML are just not my thing. I had to jump ship
Could you please be so kind and explain it more detailed, what you avtually mean with modded it a bit?
Uuuhm did you made a software engine/ transmission update or suspension or just look's?
Also curious how's the interrior and overall quality impression by you, comparing a Benzo with the X5M.
Thank's!

thats one slick looking SUV.
the 2012+ ml63 has full designo interior so its probably similar but theres a big price difference even between 2012 x5m and ml63

thanks man , yes because you should compare 2010-2013 x5m vs 2007-2011 ML.
2012 + ML should be compared with the brand new 2015 x5m.
it really depends what your budget is... I didn't want to drop a crazy mount of $ .. the 2010 x5m was a great value so I pulled the trigger.. its faster than a e92 m3 stock LOL ...

I just bought a Cayenne GTS with the V8, a 2014......it is awesome....enough power, sounds great and handles well enough to stick with a 911 around a track....saved about 30K on car less than 15K...

I'm not too sure about this comparo. 2007-2011 ML are NA using the M156 engine. 2010-2013 X5M are biturbo V8 SUVs. I would most likely compare 2012+ ML63 with 2010+ X5M. Previous ML63 model are a bit outdated but still enjoyable because of that wonderful exhaust noise .
Now between ML and X5M I would choose the ML. For sure X5M are mean looking like most of the bimmas but i didn't like the exhaust noise. the interior's trim (particularly steering wheel) wears easily. Also these earlier models tend to have injectors issues (carbon black tailpipes are a sign). So make sure you get some warranty for that. From a price stand point older X5M are cheaper than 2012 ML but again that M157 engine is the same you have in the E63S and can be tuned /downpiped etc... as well resulting in pretty good performance gains.
As usual in car hunting you have to drive them back to back to feel which one is the most suitable for you. GL

Yeah if I go suv and stay amg it would be a 2012+ ml to get that nice m157 and super nice interior . I keep eyeing the local market and haven't seen any deals that make me want to run out and look, no rush here to get rid of my c63
I've been seeing more and more Gts cayennes around lately and they look and sound great but they're everywhere! I rarely see an ml63 have seen a gle450 though haha
As far as bmw I'm not sure the x5m is really a great option over the standard x5 considering the price increase

Not quite, but I had an ML550 that was an absolute beast. Also have a bunch of experience driving the Cayenne, but not a Turbo. They're both nice, and I've tried to make the switch to an SUV twice, but if you're a car guy, don't convince yourself that a performance SUV will be enough.. I've made that mistake. That's not to say you won't enjoy it - you could be different than me, but be damn sure...
