Engine noise, Heeeeelp!!!
Hi all. My car was in the garage for two weeks, I did not drive on it. Today I heard a noise from the engine of my C63, when I started it in the morning. :tear: When the engine is warmed up the sound disappeared. :nix: I went to my dealer MB but they have not heard anything bad. This was no sound. :wall:
My car 2014 and has only 7000 kilometers mileage. Only 7000!!!! What's that sound? What could be broken? When I came home this sound no longer appear. The sound only in a cold engine. Help please!!!! :( |
i have same this sound.. when i leave my car long time with out turn on this sound appear
i think its normal for amg engine dont worry |
You can fix that issue by not starting the engine.

Mine car makes this sound also on cold starts I believe it's the lifters. Its like they pressurized once warm
|
My 2008 makes the exact same sound after sitting at the airport for 2 weeks.
Week or less the sound is not present. |

have you changed the oil and filter recently?
|
I had the same sound momentarily and then drove the car. If you just had an oil change, possible oil did not circulate all the way through. After some driving, sound disappeared. It was a loud ticking sound like that. Only happened after an oil change. Possibly oil drained down a lot from valves so just let it run for a while.

I replaced the oil 4000 kilometers back. Can replace oil again ??? Or this is marriage warranty? What should I do? :nix:

After driving it a few miles is the sound still there or has it disappeared? Thinking oil needs to circulate. If it continues then you will need to go and have it checked at dealership. May have a bad lifter.
Today I start up my engine, bad no sounds! The motor works as usual. And today, i replaced oil is on new 229.5. Let's see what will happen next... |

I want find the cause of the sound. This is due to the fact that the car is in the garage for a long time?

It can be made worse by using a oil that is thinner when cold and the level of oil in the sump may cause it to happen as well but I am not sure why as that makes little sense. It does not hurt to check that your oil level is correct from time to time and keep it close to the upper level. Not really anything to be overly concerned about at this point. |

No warning lights, nothing comes up on your screen saying to worry and the noise goes away after a while....nothing to worry about SO... https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...a1679def57.jpg |
Judging from the comments this sound may occur due to the fact that the car is a long time without movement? :nix: Need to start the engine more frequently???
|
Guys, may be add to the oil Liqui-Moly CeraTec?
