One more question... I have aftermarket wheels with the correct off-set for my stock rear fenders. With these wide fenders, are you pretty much forced to buy new wheels with different off-sets or have some people chosen to use spacers with their current wheels?

You can run spacers for "temporary" aesthetics. Mort did this before his custom wheels came in. But I would recommend on finding a set of new or custom wheels eventually to match the wide fender set up.
You can keep the front wheels the same (or same width, offset tire size) and upgrade the rear wheels to 19 x 10/10.5/11. Target offset is +25, but depending on your wheel width and tire size, you may need to work with the offsets that matches your specific set up.

I ran regular offset wheels with a 30mm spacer, and they still looked very sunk. So yes, plan on adjusting your wheel set. Luckily for me, I had 3 piece wheels so I could just replace the outer rear lip.
A bunch of pics of all of this in my journal so look there for reference.

These fenders are going to add roughly 50mm of spacing, right Ernst?

Just wanted to be sure. I can't swing another set of wheels right now, so...

Yes.
If you are running "flush" with after market wheels or spacers with OEM wheels. You will roughly need a 40mm-50mm spacer to get them "flush" with the HMS fenders.

Yes, 3 more orders left.
These fenders are hand made, made one at a time.
Production will take 7-8 weeks from when they receive full payment to roughly make all 7 sets. They will ship by Air from HMS direct to me 1-2 weeks and another week from me to you via UPS Ground.

3 more needed before the wide fender plunge!
Here is a video that I have watched over and over. I couldn't stand standard C class quarter panels after watching this. (55" second mark)

Out of curiosity, for those who have done this conversion would you be ok posting the approximate total cost of the body work/paint and whatever else was involved in fitting these? I know there are different variables in terms of location and scope of work but I have no experience with such a major modification and would be interested in knowing ballpark numbers? $10K for all the labor? More less?

Depends on if you want the fenders molded into the body or not. If you just get them painted, trim the wheel well to fit, and then glue them on, it should be fairly inexpensive labor-wise (~$1000?). When you start getting them blended/filled/molded into the body, that's when the cost gets up there.

I have been putting off on installing my HMS fenders until the end of this year or next season. But I did get several quotes at some local body shops in Chicago that specialize doing custom work and have had plenty of wide body installation experience.
The average price "surface mounting" cost is $1,500-$2,000.
If you are getting charged more, I suggest to shop around. Most body shops will tell you a price and expect you to follow along. The fenders come with a very detailed instruction guide which I will provide that shows each step of the way. Its not that complicated though, They cut the OEM metal, seal it, paint match the HMS pieces and paste them on with automotive grade adhesive. They can only install a specfic way and the only thing "custom" about it is how they cut the metal and seal it.
