fan kicks in within a couple of minutes

AQUIRED A C63 AMG PPP
fan kicks in within a couple of minutes
hi
happy new year!!

Not sure what or if there is a problem but when the car is cold the fan kicks in within a couple of minutes of driving then goes off...I had a low coolant warning about a month ago it needed about a centimetre topping up, it seems to have used a little more since then after around 1200miles do I have any issue??
