-w206 announced as 4cyl hybrid... people complain test reviews are bad and dealer inquires are low.
-2026 model year v8 planned as a replacement Or option, interest in 4cyl model lowers more and many potential customers have sugguested they will wait for the v8 thus lowering 4cyl Hebrides sales even lower
-Mercedes announces no v8s are coming. From my buddy at Mercedes this is either them trying to get some people to buy the 4cyl for the first few years before they can get the v8s out, or they are scrapping the v8 in entirety to force people into the 4cyl
The numbers are bad on the new modem he's stating around 25-30% of what they normally see for pre release deposits and dealer allocation inquiries

Guys the V8 ain’t coming back in any form. The CEO of AMG just said so at Monterey a few days ago. Basically said the rumors are ridiculous.

Few years ago (pre-COVID) I met a guy at a wedding that worked R&D for MB In Germany. (He came to the US for the wedding)
He was very clear then, that MB wanted to attempt to be all Electric by 2025
Well, this year in 2023 we see a whole line of EQs...... I think they are on the path

Well that’s a bummer and this will be the last AMG I’ll ever own. I fully recognize I’m a dinosaur in their opinion.

AMG has totally lost the plot. The new GT piece of junk is the nail in the coffin. I’m glad I got a couple of the last great ones.

Same here. I've I only owned my 204 since March due to totaling my c55 and wasn't thrilled with the w205s. The w206s have completely lost the effing plot. I felt the 205s were to digital and just wasn't ready for that yet. I'll either add a GT or go opposite and get and S-class eventually. But the C-class is dead to me now.
