Hi all! I just bought my first c63 today. I LOVE this beast. I sold my Lotus evora to get it. Nice choice.

Anyways, I want to tune the car, was thinking eurocharger...do tunes void the warranty?

Yes tunes void warranty, but the eurocharges MYgenius device you can apply and take the tune off anytime.

Awesome. Thank you. Would the dealer see that there was a tune applied though even if I took it off? Is there some type of history log?

Hi Hanse063, welcome and congrats on the purchase! Have any pics of your C63 and lotus? The tune can be seen by the dealer, but 99% won't look or have a reason to. Be sure to check out https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-stickies.html that can help answer a lot of questions you may have also.

Yes. If they need to dig hard enough, they can.

However, as long as you have a good standing relationship with the dealer they will look the other way. Furthermore, in facelift c63's (2012+), not much really breaks anyway. Not even after a tune. And whatever does break is typically unrelated to what a tune would effect therefore it wont even come into play.

Tune most certainly will void your warranty and after a major failure they can and will find evidence regardless if its removed or not......count on it

Mercedes wouldn't outright void your warranty, but if you had an engine/drivetrain issue and they saw you were tuned it would go to a regional/corporate person that would either approve or deny the claim. They could use the tune as justification to deny your claim.

Now if you had a taillight or something go bad, Mercedes would still replace it under warranty, as it has nothing to do with the tune.

Bottom line if you are all at concerned about the warranty don't get a tune.
