So I purchased a 2015 C63 507 edition last November. I have about 500 miles on it. Today, I received a letter from MB research and development. They are conducting a customer vehicle emission test where they pick up your car and give you a loaner. They take your car up to Ann Arbor TechCenter and run emission test for about 2 weeks. They said they would dyno the car and put about 200 miles on it. After testing, car is return with full tank of gas and $1000 VISA gift card. Anyone else get this letter or know if this is real? It looks real. The form has my name, address, and VIN number. Appreciate any feedback.

That was my post. Ann Arbor is not too far from me, and the phone call I made legitimized the letter. My car wasn't picked in the end. I suspect that they test new models randomly to make sure that emissions are up to spec.

Not a scam, legit.
The $1,000 gift card wasn't nearly enough for me to send my new toy away shortly after purchase, considering I only drive it 5-6 months out of the year.
But great value for someone who doesn't mind a short time without their car.

I agree with you. My car will be in the garage for the next 2 months anyway, I mine as well make $1000. I don't usually keep a car more than 3 years before I get the bug to trade it in for a new toy.
