I remember seeing an AMG vid on the new platform with hints of 850+ capable. The question of heat management was avoid though.

If these things were cheaper I might consider moving into one but when the e63 gently used cost much less.....

They'd probably have to be mounted close to where the primary cats are haha! It'd be a tight squeeze, but I happen to know of a well-known AMG tuning/performance company that is currently working on a twin turbo setup for the M156 C63 that they intend to add to their current product lineup, and this isn't just some rumor I heard, I saw the car with my own eyes. So it IS possible to fit a TT setup under our hood!

There will probably be a thread up relatively soon with more details, but they may be performing some more R&D before unveiling it. I don't recall if it was a "don't tell anyone but..." conversation. I'll ask if they have intentions of spilling the beans soon.

The rumored AMG GT R ("Black Series" verison of the AMG GT) is supposed to be in the 650-700 hp range similar to the Brabus. As Jasonoff pointed out, the new 4L TT engine is capable of delivering well over 800 hp.
Seeing as MB is already getting 381 hp DIN (375 hp SAE) out of a 2L I4 turbo on the 2016 A/CLA/GLA45 cars in stock trim, they're pushing for the same specific output per liter on the new 4L V8 motors as well. Those certainly ought to be fun.
P.S. Heat management should not be an issue, at least not from the turbos - they're mounted in the center, immediately below the hood and just in front of the basse of the windshield. I suspect the biggest problem would be the paint on the hood getting scorched.

Don't need big turbos at all, they made 850 crank hp on 4lbs boost. And those suckers will spin up plenty fast with our big engines pushing air at them. Lag? Not likely.
I've been toying with the idea myself, as there's enough room for turbos right at the end of the headers, where the OE cats were. The issue is the plumbing, so it will be interesting to see how this supposed kit is setup. I will be first in line if it's a reasonable cost.
