Hi I have a 09 c63 p30 was wondering if my airboxes have the charcoal filters I haven't taken apart yet to look I also Want to install aftermarket filter, I know this has been discussed but what I have read it is very confusing so my question is if I have the charcoal filter can I just take it out without causing engine light and what filter is best I heard k&n is not a good filter because of the oil on it any help appreciated, thanks

read this confusing ,does my car have charcoal can I keep my airboxes and just remove charcoal filter and add aftermarket filter without throwing a code

Open up your airboxes, only way you will know. Yes you can just swap out the filter without throwing a code.
