Order New Pads and Stainless Lines
I just turned 42,500 miles on my car and my front and rear pads need to be replaced.
I decided to go with the following:
- Porterfield RS4 pads
- Stainless Brake Lines
- Motul Rbf 600 fluid
I can't wait to get rid the OEM pads due to brake dust and to see how above works.

I plan to go with Endless MX72 and Stainless Lines when the time comes. Not sure about fluid though - Motul may also fit the bill when the time comes.

The Endless MX72 are an excellent choice if you want a street-friendly pad that can also withstand weekend track warrior (ab)use. If the OP got 42K+ miles out of a set of pads (), the Porterfields are a better choice for him.
And, I'd definitley stick with the OEM MB DOT4+ brake fluid even if you end up flushing it 4x as often. The viscosity of the RBF is easily 2x greater that of the MB fluid (and gets even thicker at colder temperatures), and the ABS pump is a lot more expensive to replace than flushing your brake fluid twice a year (if you track your car every other weekend that is) instead of every two years.
P.S. As for the S/S braided brake lines... the MB ones are already braided, under the protective rubber. Zero flexing and no worries about the hose popping out of the fittings or oxidation, plus they're DOT legal. I have S/S lines on all of my other cars - but when I saw a nicked E63 brake line and how it was made, I decided to leave well enough alone. There's no point in upgrading something (and calling aftermerket S/S lines an "upgrade" in this particular case would be debatable at best) that is already able to withstand more abuse that what you can possibly throw at it even with heavy track (ab)use.
