...don't forget to attach your hillbilly trailer hook to it too like you did with the C63 to complete the package...

Hardly what I would call a "Hillbilly hot rod". Enjoy the new ride. Looks great! Vettes definitely do get noticed more than most MB's do. Unfortunately, from first hand experience that's also a bit of downside. Most cops love to target Vettes, especially red ones, for traffic stops and speeding tickets more so than most other cars. So just be careful out there.

Op, not to go off topic but I see you had a Tacoma and have a 4Runner now. How do you like the 4Runner? My Tacoma is feeling a bit dated and a big ole 4Runner looks might good

Beautiful car! Congrats. I have never wanted a vette until the C6 Z06 came out and just with a tire swap you were able to run a 3.5 0-60 and with bolt ons they were beasts. These newer Vettes are beautys! Enjoy in good health. I am on a quest for a GT350 currently.

I very seriously considered a GT350. Called all the Ford shops near Boston, and not everyone was even receiving "allotments" to sell one. The one that did, said they are already sold out for all of 2016. I saw one car on autotrader listed for $8k over sticker. I'd love to try the GT350, but Ford seems to be keeping it very restricted access / low volume for now. Good for them.

The $10k+ over sticker keeps me away from the GT350. I hate the fact that they do this. Ford built an incredible car and priced it right for the enthusiasts and then dealers just mark up because of supply and demand. I understand the dealershipd wanting to make more money, same thing happened when GTR launched but damn I know many enthusiasts like myself who Ford built this car for cannot get into them because of the exuberant mark ups.

That's precisely the point - for only limited people to be able to get into them. I looked for Alfa 4Cs also, same story. BMW 1Ms - same story (I didn't consider a 1M but know friends who did). I also briefly (for like 22 minutes) flirted with the idea of a Lotus Elise, but quickly came to my senses

I like that Ford's keeping it exclusive, even if I can't / won't get one.

Really wanted a vette when I was looking but had to have seating for 4 although the e550 cab is no slouch...

Hadn't driven fast car in a while, like 20 years lol

When I test drove the vette, Pulled onto a ramp and floored it in second, nailed 3rd and WOW was that fun!

I digress, have fun with your new car

Oh my - if you guys think $10k is bad, look up the Ford GT! They're taking applications to buy one.... No joke. Also, the new Porshce 911R is thought be to trading at $250k over sticker. lol.

I kept my c63 507 sedan and traded my Porsche Cayman for a white c7z06. I got it yesterday. While I was driving it home from the dealership, the computer fried and the dash displays went blank. Fortunately, the HUD was working and I was able to get it home. They said they'd have it back by next Monday. I can't wait for the Chevy customer satisfaction survey to arrive..........

Oh boy, sorry to hear about your misfortune. I am seriously considering getting a "GMEPP" (extended warranty through GM) as I am fully expecting Chevy quality to be sub-par in a lot of areas. About $800 to extend the factory 3-36 to another 2 years and 20k miles.

That is a steal compared to what we AMG owners are used to. Cheap peace of mind, IMO.

lol it's pretty awesome. it's loud, it shakes when your at a red light, the s/c screams so loud you'd think somethings wrong with it, and it's silly fast for such a huge car. it builds speed like nothing i've ever felt the 70-xxx is loony. also nice rowing through a nice 6-speed again even if the auto is faster.

Definitely. I was quoted $4500 by MB to extend the factory 4/48 for one more year. It was silly.

I have 14 months left on the factory 3/36, I am not sure I will keep the car for too much beyond that, that's why I am thinking about whether to get the GMEPP. But for $800, I may just say heck with it and get it so the next guy can have peace of mind. The GMEPP isn't quite bumper to bumper, but has a pretty small exclusion list, so I think it would be $800 well spent overall.

Jeff, I live in Boston. If you are nearby, we should meet up one day, and swap rides for a short drive!

$800 thats stupid cheap compared to the MB AMG tax we pay for extended warranties.
though to be fair, a single repair under mine paid for the warranty and then some.
