C63 Questions

Thinking about buying a 2012-2013 C63 coupe...

Do you guys think I should get the performance pack or just regular and add some mods afterwards?

Also, I was thinking about getting a tune on it after I buy it.. Anyone have any experience with this and how it changed the driving experience? I was also reading online that it increases the fuel economy when you tune it.. Anyone know if its true or not?

I don't mind living with getting 12-17 MPG but if there is anything I can do to improve it I might as well improvise.

Thanks :)

Skip the performance pack for those years and get an LSD.

Don't know how people think 500+ BHP is okay with an open diff :smash:

The P31 performance pack is good if you can get it. It's not necessary but always a plus.

The tune may bump it 1mpg but you won't notice. You could always drive in Comfort mode but that would be a waste lol.

I think this thread should help you with some of your questions about PP and non-PP.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...me-advice.html

HP gains aside the PP has the forged internals and better brakes. If those things interest you and if the price is right, go for the PP. Also if the car comes with the factory LSD, even better.
However, if you're able to get a better deal on a non-PP car, get that. With a tune and LSD you should be all set.
It really all boils down to price, mileage and options that you want on the car.

As for tunes improving mileage... well good luck with that. With a car like this it's not easy to keep your foot off the gas... Personally, I have not seen any difference.
Good luck!

i opted for the P31 pkg for the forged internals. i knew i was going to mod the car so this helped provide a solid foundation before pushing the M156. granted there are aftermarket LSDs that are better, having it on from the factory saved me the trouble.

since you're already talking tune, i'd get a P31 car and stock or aftermarket LSD.

p30 and p31 same forged internal 2012 and above the difference from 2008 to 2011 , if you want buy 2012 or 2013 doesn't matter what pack include if you want mode the car

Not with the P31, the LSD is a separate option. But adding an LSD afterwards is really easy and probably cheaper.
