How to retrofit OEM C63 Bumper on a W204 C350

Hello,

I have a 2008 Mercedes C350 and I bought an OEM C63 bumper cover for this car, I have already bought all the parts mentioned in another thread that are required to make it fit.

The bumper seems to be to long from the sides. According to another thread posted by a member super dave it needs to be cut and plastic welded to make it fit. Can someone please explain to me where the bumper needs to be cut and shortened from so I don't ruin a new bumper. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you contact "super dave"? Just a wild guess, but I'd think he would be the place to start.

I'd cut the bumpers from the sides/edges. Not the middle. Again, just a guess.

OOPS...

I thought you meant a OEM C63 Rear bumper!

C63 specific front bumper will not fit, you will need to get a C63 type bumper made specifically for non-AMG W204's.

The C63 bumper doesn't fit the fenders or hood from a non-AMG car. The AMG fenders and hood are longer.

No one can explain where exactly you need to cut. This is custom body shop work that will require a lot of trial and error to get right.

Honestly, your better off selling the C63 bumper and trying to return the parts than going down this route.

Good luck to you.

It will NOT work. Did you research before you bought it?? From the A pillar forward, the C63 is completely different in length, width, and all other dimensions. (Thats how they managed to fit the giant M156 motor into a C class) It will be a major pain, lots of money, and will most likely look like crap because you will be ruining the bumper somehow to get it to fit. I would sell it and find some other alternative to trick out your bumper with some of the features you like about the bumper. GL
