MB Battery
The dealer told me I need a new battery. $197.50 USD my price from the dealership. Autozone Duralast $144.99 USD. $52.51 worth the MB battery?
Same specs, (probably made in the same factory)
what say ye?

Dealer gave u good deal. They asked for 237 for mine. I went to auto zone and bought theirs instead. Around 160 with pretty high cold cranking amps too. Had it for like 6 months now. Throughout the winter too. Starts the car just fine. No issues.

IIRC Varta is OEM supplier (Varta mfr is Johnson Controls). So any JC AGM battery is most likely identical to OEM but literally any AGM battery of the specified group size would work fine, so you got a great deal.

I think it's worth spending the extra for an MB battery, especially if it's the gel type battery. Those things last forever. I've had one in my prior SL for like 6 or 7 years before the car was totaled. If it's just one of the standard acid batteries, eh either or. I'm just pro gel batteries.

My AutoZone battery didnt last that long. Get the MB one.
My old BMW battery on an X5 and an M3 lasted 8 yrs. Autozone 2.5 yrs. So I lost money.
My C63 battery is around 6 yrs old and tested good from MB just a week ago.
