55Tech Grill Before After Pics
A small bird took out a huge chunk of my blacked out OEM grill so I decided to replace with the 55Tech one. Took some side by sides and before afters...
Fitment is spot on. Getting old out was simple except for bottom tabs... felt like I was close to breaking something.
If you do this, be sure to get your hand in from behind and press into all the tabs fully... the fitment was perfect after I did that.
...and no, I can't tell you where to get that hood emblem... they no longer make them. I got it 5 years ago, it held up well, but is aging... would love to find another.
I believe the color is all molded in so hopefully I'm done all the rock chip touch ups.

^^^LOL.....
I have a similar hood emblem that I bought from a Japanese seller and it was about 5 years ago and I cannot find him again and order another. It was very well made and a perfect spot on fitment inside the emblem space.
I also have the 55tech grill. Although the fitment is perfect and the look is excellent, it's not perfectly made as far as the chrome and the back attachments of the bars.
They stated at one time that the center star is an OEM benz part. Highly unlikely.
Overall very happy and it looks excellent.

I thin we have the same one... My chrome peeled so I popped off the center part, scraped off the chrome and repainted the surrounding part gloss black... Looks better imo.

That badge can be found on E-bay, it is a push in spring loaded piece. I purchased mine a few weeks ago after a vendor's piece that cost 10x more cracked, faded and yellowed up after 2 years.

Yeah I believe the W211 and W204 are both 57mm.
The best ones are the metallic or aluminum top pieces which are usually a sticker that attaches and is NOT clear coated...

I knew this would spin off about the badge... There is a really sharp machined one on eBay but again, not for our size.
I tried to contact them to make one saying I could get 30 people easy, but no reply.

Actually the guy behind 55tech has excellent customer service. I ordered one and it was all narled and he sent another one next day no questions asked. Just reach out to him. He is very helpful.

another small note... I went to put the OEM grill back in the 55Tech box (just in case)... and it really didn't fit well. The OEM grill is a little more curved and much stiffer. I had to force it in.

Three months later... also confirming the color is molded in... no touch ups needed whatsoever.

When I still had my C63 I too was torn on which grille to replace the OEM with.
I bought two. Gloss black and matte black. Both were from 55tech and both were great fitment.
Having said that, they both, especially the gloss black stood out like a sore thumb.
Unless you have matte / gloss trim I would suggest going OEM chrome/black.
It just didn't look right all blacked out IMHO until I matted my trim and badges.
One other thing, 55tech's grilles are painted, they are not molded gloss or matte for those curious.

OEM chrome grill FTW. My car came with the front grille blacked out.... went back to OEM right away and it flows much better with the rest of the car.
