I am about to pull the trigger on a C63 and just wanted to verify the service records just to see whats been done.

Anyone know where I can get the service records? I tried calling around and was turned down by the local Benz dealers.

Also is the warranty by the date the car was put into service? Or when it was built?

Warranty = in-service date.

That will be difficult to get service records, I'm guessing the original owner could get them through his/her dealer. Even then, there's no guarantee.

Some folks have connections to get the VMI records (vehicle maint), but even that is against policy and can get people fired/legal ramifications.

 

Provide proof of ownership for the VIN to the dealer the car was serviced at and they will send them to you no problem.

 

Carfax will have the records too

 

Dealer might give you the VMI - mine included it in the packet they gave me when I bought the car (along with the carfax and some other stuff - I might even have seen it before I bought the car, can't totally remember the timing of when I got the packet from them).
