Tune is not needed for sec or res, neither have sensors etc.

Secondly, Depends how loud you want the car to be, especially on cold starts.

The tune would net you gains because it's a tune, not because of the deleted sec or res. The main gain from deleting the sec and res is the weight savings with those heavy OE parts.

You might gain some power from freeing up the exhaust (maybe 10hp, if that), but on a big V8 - that's almost negligible.

My advice if you are unsure to do one or the other or both:

Delete secondaries with straights, if you still not happy with loudness or tone, delete res and put an H or straights there.

It all depends what you are after with the exhaust, particularly with how loud you want to be, that'll decide which direction to take.

I'm doing Mike H power pipe and his resonator deletes on my car. After hearing countless videos, that setup is the exact sound I am after, from loudness, to tone, to AMG signature sound just turned up several notches etc. again, what do you want?

+1. I have my secondaries removed and replaced w/straights and love it. It's all personal preference though richard gabi but like ArmoE55 said, I would start with secondaries and go from there.
