Are you guys burning any oil/adding oil?

No blue smoke from what I've seen and from what my gf reported to me. She also says car doesnt smoke when pulling away (after I drop her off or something).
However, someone told me on the highway that I was burning oil, there was blue smoke he said. At that time, I was going downhill in gear so the revs were held at 3-4k. Then when I hammer the throttle it releases blue smoke. This would make sense and match my own observations too. I notice the smell more when downshifting into high revs or engine braking. I think oil is getting sucked through when throttle is closed at high RPM. Of course its not good, I'm just not sure whether this amount is tolerable :/
And I'm also not sure what % of my oil burned is caused by this vs oil consumed in cold starts with M1 0w40. And this seems to have started and gotten worse with the headers installed at beginning of September, so I'm not sure if this is the 200 cell "race cats" getting fried, or an existing mechanical fault getting worse.
