I can't pin point it, the original 18" looked more aggressive with meatier tires.
Maybe I just have to play with tire sizing.
I also don't want to lower my car at all so I don't know if it's me or reality, but the 19" looks like there is a larger wheel/fender gap.

Well the 18s were 35s (I would think) vs the 30s on the 19s so there is somewhat of a difference there, so I could seat that. Also, you may have a different shoulder profile on new tires vs the old and that would maybe let you see in to that wheel well more. Only way to deal with that is a drop.

I think it looks great. I can see how a lit less meaty look could throw you off, esp since all long for more rubber. I was behind a Viper in the car wash yesterday. 295s on the FRONT, and 355s out back. All I could do was laugh.

Shoulder profile has 100% changed. I will definitely shop around when it comes time to change these tires. I have always lowered my cars and I grow tired of driveways and speedbumps. I feel the C63 is a perfect balance for the everyday driving, I really don't want to alter the suspension. H&R 0.75 springs would look great with these wheels though.

355s in the rear is just

I put the H&Rs in my 09, in part cos of ride height and in part cos it was a P30 and springs in that car were hard. as. nails. MB took a lot of complaints and changed them in subsequent years. Great for the track but spine jarring in the real world.

My 2012 P31 rides a lot differently than that one, and I quite like the ride actually, but can't get the looks of the old one out of my head. And so I will drop H&Rs in there next week, along with the 17mm shim pads Ive already received, and see what the ride is like. I may keep, I may switch back.

So in other words, as you feel about this rim set up is how I feel about springs right now lol.

It felt a little bouncy to be honest, just a little, but I may not be the best judge coming off the P30. Everything in that car was quite hard. Our roads here are garbage, and while I not the type to complain about getting race ride from my "race springs" it was reasonably punishing over time. My wife didn't like driving it. I have read a few members say they felt their 12-14 rode firmer after they were installed. I would be ok with somewhat firmer than stock.

My wife not wanting to drive it wasn't the worst possible thing lol. But that was also possibly cos it was fast and low and black and snarled and it just wasn't her thing.

I found mine on the wheels forum here. Just search for E63 or W212(?). Patience required - they don't show up very often.

Ricecooker - what year did yours come from? I know the W212 wheels (2009-2016) will fit, not sure about the newer W213 wheels.

edit - nevermind, W213 AMG is not released yet.

The sizing for these is perfect.

I'm loving that more C63 owners are venturing into the 9j in the front. I think 235/35's aesthetically look better on a 9j V.S. 8.5j
