JRCart he says that they cut around it. He says they took a shark fin off once and the headliner had to come out to do it, and that was sort of one thing led to another and it was a nightmare and they had hours and hours into it just for that.

No problem. He says you take the headliner out but to do that there is a piece of trim, to take that piece off you have to take another piece til finally you have the backseat out lol. "Try all else first" was the advice.
Looks like a very good job. Seems like you're happy with it, which is what matters!
Just my honest opinion (not meant to sound negative) but personally I do not like the blacked out roof look. It looks dated. Also I think it would look a lot better in gloss than matte/ satin. When I was doing my window chrome bits, I contemplated doing my roof for a minute but am happy I didn't. I love the look of my roof, a true hard top!

Anyway great looking car and thanks for sharing
Thank you. I have to agree with you - I think I would like it better in gloss too, but I need the window trim blacked and the tint fixed before Ill know. My thought here is to give it a try and see how I feel. I may just have it painted eventually, but I also kind of miss that clean white look. Ill play with this for a while and see where it goes. Its been literally decades since Ive had a white car, and Ive never modded one before at all, so just kind of finding my way here.
604, I've done matte, satin and gloss for my window trims and in my opinion the gloss trims look best. Matches more of the cars gloss black/carbon bits. And if u do a gloss roof it will all tie in nicely.
If u have both satin and gloss it doesnt look as good, just like the roof with the gloss runners and sunroof currently. Gloss matches the windows more and the gloss carbon bits.
I can post some pics of my window trims if you like, but I'm sure you have seen gloss window trim?
I'm still doing tiny details to my car, like in a few weeks I'm having my tire valve stems taken out and replaced with solid black instead of the stock silver lol. Every detail man haha!
Anyway these are just my opinions.
Oh Roswell, I ended up getting those HRE caps. Having them painted red and satin bronze and will show u them at the end of this month. They are soooo cool! (Got them for half price)
If you don't like the black part, I suggest doing this. Got the idea from another forum member and for $20 (if you do it yourself) it looks fantastic. (PS this was my first try at wrapping something, I know it will come out better if I had to do it again)
I wrapped also my interior wood trim with the same glossy vinyl, i did it myself taking apart doors and wrapping, took like 4 days working at night, also cost me 20$.
