Some advice on tuning please.

Hi.

I've had my car for half a year now and I would like to get it tuned at some stage in the next few months. I was considering getting a full ipe exhaust, KN filter and a custom tuned, as my target is for around 330 rwkw. But a call to one of the tuner suggested that I would be wasting my money for the time being as they suggests to just get a secondary cat delete, KN filter and tune which would yield around 300 - 315 rwkw.
The reasons they suggest this is because I drive my car daily so is best to have a slightly louder exhaust rather than the loud ipe. The other factor they said was for the amount of money I would be paying for the ipe, there seems to be not much gains compared to the cat delete.

Anyway I've come from a background of owning only turbocharged cars so tuning was a bit easier, but with NA tuning it is quite tricky to get the best results vs price.

Hope you guys can have some suggestions.

Removing the secondary cat, filters and tune would be a great place to start. Unless you are adding headers, I would not worry about the full exhaust. I personally don't like the sound of the IPE either.

Secondary cat delete / resonator delete / Of the shelf tune (such as EC v5) and done.

I'd pass on the catback. $$$ + you're just going for a little sound and power which the above will get you.

Beyond that you're looking at headers which are really loud for a DD

Thanks Insignia and Purple heart. I think going with what had been suggested might be the wise choice at this stage.
