Should you buy a car sight unseen?

2013 E550 Sedan
I just bought a 2013 E550 from a M-B dealer sight unseen. The car is CPO'd, and I bought 2 more years of warranty. I felt confident doing this because of prior business with the dealership. The car was a lease return and was purchased by the dealer from M-B Fin. prior to auction. Considering the fact that there were 6 or so CPO's listed on various websites in the USA, I felt that I had few options. BTW, Oregon has no sales tax, and trying to buy a vehicle out of state for me would involve having the vehicle delivered to me, or pay sales tax in the state of purchase. Being able to buy the car with more than 3 1/2 years of M-B warranty gives me confidence. Sorry that I'm not talking about a C63.

(for what it's worth, I also bought my car sight unseen, flew across the country to get it, then drove it back across the country over the next 4 months covering about 8k miles)

Mine is for sale. Probably the only one you would want to buy sight unseen as its well taken care of.

Very nice car but its about 10k out of my price range. and about about 6 months too early for me to buy just yet.. I want to save 10k or more for a down payment.
