"That guy is a legend". Not only is what you're doing very cool, but clearly I am raising this kid right. |

Dude IS legend. He is Magellan, exploring and charting the W204. And apparently, also like Magellan, he has a bank roll bigger than mine and is willing to share his findings. Love that. Very cool. |

The actual project is getting it turbo charged. Nothing big. Just low boost.
Than my friend said why not make it lighter. And now it has become like an addiction to make it super light. Doors are a very good saving. 46 pounds per door empty. So plus panels and electric window motors etc. I am currently talking with the company who made the polycarbonate windows for the w204 dtm factory cars. We are checking if sizes are the same. If yes. We got another big weight saving coming ;-). |

Boys are cool, we get it.
My daughters asked me this weekend "papa why you break that car?". My son would build a set, then tear it down into something else or dial it up a notch. My daughter would build a set, then pose it exactly as it is on the box, and leave it like that. Forever. |
And if anyone thought braille batteries are light.
I just found a conpany in Holland (europe) that makes lithium batteries for this car of 5.7 pounds. And they are modular. So if you want more power, just add another cell of 0.9 pounds. |
I am located in Thailand.

Best thing is their price. 500usd for 6 cells. Which would be enough for the c63.
I will try them and see how good they are. Will put one in a daily driver also and see how they hold up. |

The corvette guys also use the Gu1r from braille which is very light and reasonable. Might try it.

So are you parting anything out?
Lolol. You could make some bucks and counter the cost of the upgrades. Just a thought. |

What a great thread - thanks for sharing. I love weight reduction and the effort that goes into shaving lbs off, once you do the initial 'strip' of the interior panels. When you've got to get creative with further weight savings like super light bucket seats, lexan to replace glass etc...ahhh it's just cool.
I have managed to lose a full 200lbs, from my already 'fairly light' Celica. A quick tip if I may....Lexan/polycarbonate windows....for the amount that you save in weight, I don't think they're worth the expense and hassle. They scratch really easily and you end up losing a lot of the nice feel to the car as you drive. The back window on my celica saved a whopping.......3kg (I think) and that window is approx 30% bigger than the C class rear glass. However, I love the work you're doing and it's great that you're sharing your findings. Keep it up!! :y

Is there anyone here on this forum that has a full electrical diagram of this car? Also ecu diagram. Would be of great help. Specially the ecu pin out.
