Didn't know this, but was just reading through a release book on the coupe.

This is due to the MCT transmission and a revised power steering pump.

10.4% is significant! I'll take it.

That is not my experience with the C63 sedan.

I drove a 2010 C63 26597km and averaged 6.588615km/l. My 2012 C63 has 31177km and I put on 8107km of those and averaged 6.590814km/l. That is an insignificant increase of 0.03%. YMMV

Perhaps it's the coupe only.
Thebook I took it from was issued for the coupe.

If you are taking their claims at face value or the claimed reasons of the transmission and power steering pump then they are the same coupe/sedan...

Ditto, having gone from 09 to a 2012. Didn't the EU change the way they worked out the combined fuel cycle test at some point? and didn't everybody's numbers change? I just don't recall when and if they got better or worse.
