Never understood why the C63 didn't get an AMG grill badge

Had one for 15 months.
Yes, for its size it is quick and still the most powerfull 4 cyl 2L production engine in the world.
It is well suited to tracks like the one here on Vancouver Island and handles well. It is also modestly fuel efficient.
That said, it is a rougher ride than our cars. It is very noisy on the highway. At full lock steering angles the front tires slip at temps below 15C. Going up and over shallow curbs e.g. going into the driveway with any significant steering angle input there is a very disturbing mechanical series of bangs. My service manager took a few out when I mentioned it to him and he was surprised. They all seem to do it.
In the end I decided it was a Japanese boy racer built by Germans. For someone not familiar with the brand it probably is cool. For the Asia university students in Vancouver it works as a chic magnet particularly when it shifts in S mode (That Blat out the pipe is really something) and they will like it.
For a long time Benz guy. Not a real Benz.
I traded it pretty much even for my 2013 C63 and could not be happier.

In any case having had one for over a year, as I said earlier, it ain't a real Benz.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
They obviously didn't know what they're talking about. Below comment backed up by car and driver.

The CLA is now the 'entry level' mercedes car. As mentioned earlier their base price is the lowest ever. In terms of the AMG, I suppose it has its own shine, but it won't shift the class .
