Can someone who has done this help me with the best product to use to buff these gloss black plastic parts back to a like new finish?
There are some very light scratches - no idea where they came from as I am always meticulous when washing. Perhaps the detailer screwed up?

Anyway, I know there are TONS of products that do this. I'd like to hear from people who have used it on the gloss black mirrors, spoiler, front splitter, or these hood exhaust vents.

Paint correcting black is easy. Paint correcting that piece, is scary.

With so many curves and edges on the piece and it being so small, I'd be afraid to burn through the paint on edges and curves.

If you really wanted to do this, I'd probably suggest a very small (3") pad on the end of a low speed drill and go VERY slowly. Make sure to use painters tape or frog tape to mask off all edges too.

If it were my car, that's what I'd do to remove some of the bigger scratches, and then hit it with a glaze to hide some of the smaller ones.

Perfection here might just have too many downsides...

Thanks. The imperfections are minor, in addition to the fine scratches, there are some white dots. Perhaps some kind of environmental fallout?

Was hoping that a product like Back to Black or Acrylic Werks would do it?

Correct -- white dots can be removed with an abrasive. But I'd stay far, far away from a clay bar. That'll make matters so much worse.

Not familiar with Acrylic Werks, but back to black will just make that look greasy as it's a product for dull, matte, plastics.

Try a Chemical Guys glaze with sealant perhaps and see where that gets you.

It's NOT paint guys. It's molded and polished black plastic.

Best thing to do is use a very fine paste/liquid polish - I used the Meguiars X-whatever headlight restore polish on my pieces to get them ready to sell, and they turned out perfect and swirl/scratch free.

Good point to differentiate between painted or molded. I'm quite sure it's painted. The OEM parts come unpainted, that's for sure. On the BS they are body color. 507 are in this gloss black.
Defintiely plastic. But I think it's painted this color.

Yours may be painted, but all of the blacked-out 507 trim pieces (DRL trim, grille, etc) and other gloss black trim like the center lip spoiler come wrapped from the factory as polished black plastic with zero paint. I would assume the same goes for the hood vents.

Molded plastic can usually be corrected the same as paint. I would recommend a Rupes nano, a medium pad (orange?), and a medium compound (menzerna 1500). That should remove a lot of the scratches. That's what i used for scratches on my tail lights.

Exactly. Which is why polishing headlights and polishing paint require the same procedure. Wet sand, buff, etc.

Grab a small bottle of Meguiar's Scratch-X. Apply and buff by hand. Shake well and follow the directions. Don't use too much product. It should fix the imperfections in the plastic without an issue.

Follow up with a quality sealant.
